SAVE UNDERSHAW

"With Mark Gatiss as Patron/Sponsor, the Undershaw Preservation Trust is an organisation dedicated to the preservation and protection of 'Undershaw' the former home and national treasure of Sherlock Holmes creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes - the home that he helped design with his good friend and architect Joseph Ball.

The home is currently under threat from the property developers who wish to divide the house into 3 separate units and build a further 5 alongside.

Planning permission for development has been approved by Waverley Borough Council. The UPT are looking to get this thoughtless decision overturned."

  • The state of the building as it is now. Even run-down the building looks magnificent.
Let’s save it so we can return it fully to its former beauty.
